- To obtain discounts in rates, grants/ex-gratia from the State Government from time to time for the material required for fruit production.
- To arrange training etc. for all the fruit production cooperative committee members and individual members in the state for increasing production for value addition of fruit production.
- To provide marketing facility of fruit producer association across the state and establish marketing agency.
- To produce fruits and for this purpose prepare or get prepared high variety fruit gardens with modern technology on the land of the committee members.
- To strengthen the fruit producing committees and individual producers in the state financially and encourage them for new employment.
- To carry out activities for the economic development of the farmers’ society and to promote the production, purchase-sale, processing and marketing of fruit production (apple, mango, guava, apricot, litchi, malta etc.), flower production (all types of Indian and foreign flowers), vegetable (seasonal/off-season) products.
- To develop and expand such allied activities which are helpful for the economic betterment of the people engaged in fruit production, flower production, vegetable processing industry, improvement and conservation of cultivable land and production.
- Without affecting the interests of its members, it can purchase, collect, process, manufacture, distribute and sell the goods from the members or from other sources.
- Study problems of mutual interest relating to production, purchase and marketing of fruit, flower, vegetable and hybrid products.
- Purchase and/or erect buildings, plants, machinery and other auxiliary equipment for carrying on the business.
- Establish research and quality control laboratories.
- Provide agricultural produce, inputs, pesticides and extension services, facilities to member associations and assist member associations in undertaking plant protection activities so as to increase the productivity of vegetables.
- Make necessary arrangements for transportation of fruit, flower, vegetable products and commodities.
- Advise, guide, assist and control member vegetable cooperative associations in all aspects of management, supervision and audit functions.
- Procure or assist in the procurement of raw materials, processing materials etc. or help in collaborating with any one as and when required.
- Undertake cooperative development interventions and training of all member federations and societies including member education programmes.
- Own or lease or take on rent movable or immovable properties for discharging the functions of the federation and for disposal of the same if not required for the functions of the federation.
- Market its products under its own trademark/brand name or under the trademark/brand name of its member federations.


- Enter into contractual relationship with persons/agencies at national and international level necessary to expand or promote post harvest activities and marketing of the products.
- Can promote the organization of primary, horticultural, fruit production, vegetable production, aromatic flower production and marketing committees and can help the members in the organization of the committees.
- Can plan developmental strategies and programs for increasing the purchase and production quantity of the Federation and its member unions and its effective marketing.
- Can provide technical, administrative, financial and other necessary help to the member unions and can enter into assistance treaty with anyone if needed.
- Can advise the member unions on pricing, public relations and related matters.
- Can create trusts and funds for the welfare of employees.
- Can take responsibility for the supervision of member unions and societies affiliated to member unions from time to time. Subject to the Acts and Rules, the Federation will also have the power to recommend the dissolution of any member association or primary cooperative societies.
- It can undertake or assist in the research and development program.
- It can establish an independent research and development association so that it can get assistance in its funding and for this it can raise funds from the member associations.
- It can organize and assist in saving schemes and can propagate the concept of cooperative movement and its benefits.
- It can encourage fruit production, flower production and vegetable production by the members of the member and affiliated societies.
- To get the Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) formed in the state.
- May assist member associations in owning and setting up marketing premises, processing units, warehousing, cold storage, packing units, rest rooms and other value addition activities to facilitate post-harvest management.
